My current retro gaming setup for 2025
I like retro video games a lot and I collect game consoles. At the moment, I have seven TV consoles, five handhelds, and a Nintendo Switch making a total of Thirteen gaming devices not including my two laptops. Because I play on all my systems, I have two power strips, two HDMI splitters, and an analog to digital video converter that has four sets of composite inputs, and the RF switcher for my SNES to make sure all my consoles are hooked up at all times. Also, I have a Wii remote charger and rechargeable battery packs for my Wii remotes and a Play & Charge kit for my XBOX 360 controller to make sure my controllers are never out of batteries. I even have one of those adapters that lets me use Gamecube controllers with my Wii U for when I play Super Smash bros. with friends. All of these things plus bins and trays to keep all my accessories, games, and handhelds organized make my gaming setup ready to go. My advice to anybody trying to set up their own gaming setup is to velcro the AC adapters for your Wii, Wii U, XBOX 360 s/e, etc. to the wall so they don’t take up space that you can use to store other stuff. Also, don’t use the Wii U gamepad dock because it takes up too much space and instead plug the AC adapter into the port on top of the gamepad.

Cord management is key. Nobody likes messy cords

Just some handhelds. (GBC 1998, GBA 2001, DS 2004, DSi 2009, 3DS 2011)

In conclusion, it’s good to organize your consoles so you can play them more.
I reorganize every month BTW.
